Thatch is a new tiki bar; it opened in northeast Portland in January 2007. It features a sunken bar, booths rescued from a nearby original Armet & Davis Denny's, lots of bamboo, and of course, thatch. Some of the tiki decor came from the nearby Jasmine Tree, which in turn got its decor from the Portland Kon-Tiki when it closed.

I had a really great time at Thatch. I was working in Portland and made a special trip. It was POURING rain and I enjoyed watching the deluge while enjoying my drink. Letting my mind wander, I was able to transport myself to a fantastic island paradise and let the day just melt away.
Zombieki has visited Thatch.

I love love love me some Thatch! I go as much as I possibly can. Angi is the best bartender! She always makes my drinks perfect! It just makes me so happy every time I go it there!
tiki kupcake is a regular at Thatch, and is usually there Sundays and Mondays.
