I would go to The Kon Tiki at 4pm when it opens. It’s not in a great neighborhood. Not sure if you’re driving or taking Uber but there are a lot of car break-ins. There is also The Kon Tiki Room at Palmetto a half mile away but the original is the best. Then I would go to Forbidden Island after. The local Ohana meets on Tuesdays at 6pm so be sure to make a reservation. Cheers!
Mahalo Lokelani! We went ahead and made reservations at Forbidden Island as you advised (4 pm inside) and because we’re driving in from the North have decided to kill a little time at the Kona Club beforehand. Not sure if we’ll make it to The Kon Tiki this trip.
We’ll be stopping here first, then at Forbidden Island, on our way from Sonoma to SF. We’re keeping our expectations low, so hopefully we’ll be pleasantly surprised!
