Humuhumu’s description

The Golden Tiki opened in Las Vegas' Chinatown on July 24, 2015. The man behind The Golden Tiki, Branden Powers, has been part of the nightclub scene in Las Vegas for some time now (he was Creative Director at the Hard Rock Hotel), but is himself a longtime lover of Tiki, having spent some of his youth DJing Exotica tunes at the Islands Restaurant

The Golden Tiki is in a large space, 4,000 square feet, and split into four different zones. The interior design and build out were done by Danny "Tiki Diablo" Gallardo. The bar has a thatched roof, and is topped by an animatronic talking tiki head, named Goldy, created by Erik "Irk" Hedman. A loveseat-sized artificial giant clam is popular for photos.
A flaming pu-pu platter is available on Friday and Saturday nights.

The friendliest tiki bar ever! Staff was great , food and drinks were good, and the bathroom is an experience! Great decor, including what appears to be an animated parrot from Disney’s tiki room. Well worth the trip

This place really is something. Drinks were good; during my visit, I had a Mai Tai and Hemingway’s Ruin, and then really enjoyed the Black Bettie. But be ye warned: when people describe the atmosphere as “Disney,” they mean “immersive” not “family friendly”—the men’s room especially was too explicit for my taste. I guess I should have known better, being Vegas after all.

Pirates of Caribbean music greets you as you enter into darkness... from the strip mall. One of my friends commented - what in the actual hell is going on - as we pulled up. Once inside, the magic created a great evening for the group. Drinks are ok. Mai Tai is pretty sweet. Navy Grog prob best offering. Of course, get the fire. You can have anything lit on fire. Pineapples on fire were a hit with my group. We sat in the back room on the couches, and just chilled. The bathroom needs to be seen as well. Make sure you're ready for the talking pirate.
