location on Kauai. Unlike the Kauai location, this one will not have any ownership or involvement by Todd and Michele Rundgren, instead being operated by Atlanta's Supper Club Group under a license agreement. One of the partners in Supper Club Group, Bill Chapman, was an investor in the original Tiki Iniki.
Went to Tiki Iniki last week. They were in the process of ripping down all the bamboo, thatch, and idols. The bartender said they're changing themes. Didn't last long, but 4 Tiki bars are a lot for Atlanta. We didn't order any drinks so I can't rate them.
Tiki Iniki is more a Tiki-themed bar than a Tiki bar. If you're seeking craft Tiki drinks in Atlanta, then go to S.O.S. Tiki Bar in nearby Decatur. The Tiki cocktails here are just well drinks with fruit juices from concentrate. They're not good. As for ambiance, man, this place is almost a winner, BUT... the televisions are always on and the blaring muzak is crap pop (nowhere near on-theme.) To leave a on a good note, the kitchen at Tiki Iniki was first-rate when I went. Go for the food, if anything.

. I've tried it a couple times now and I just wish it was better. More of a 'Tiki themed bar' than a true Tiki Bar. You know something is wrong when the waiter's only recommendations were vodka and tequila drinks. They didn't know what a painkiller was. Really. Food is decent and it's not terrible, but it's not Tiki the way I imagine most people on this site are looking for.
