Only open for dinner, and you must wear long pants. Even though it's next to the beach, they didn't dig my cargo shorts. The manager was a bit snotty until I explained that I had flown in from Seoul to have a Mai Tai there (which is true....and to fly the Emirates A380). I think he thought I was a food critic and got 'nice' after I asked a few questions. I still did not feel welcome, and thought it odd that a 'tropical' bar wouldn't allow shorts. Dubai is so image-conscious. The place was empty, and you could tell the manager was still 'worried' about me being there with shorts. Ugh. I'll stick with the other Trader Vic's in Dubai.
